In June 2015, Dunwood Farm approached us to redesign their website that was already trading and providing high quality, local, organically produced meat by mail order all around the country. The aim was to make a website that was reflective of the quality of the product that created trust in the store to generate more sales.
About the Client
Dunwood Farm is a 170 acre all grass farm set in the heart of the picturesque Staffordshire Moorlands, on the edge of the Peak District. The family has farmed here since 1973, and in that time came to learn that rare and native cattle breeds suit their grass based system above all other breeds. Today they farm small herds of Aberdeen Angus, Hereford and Longhorn cattle, which complement their traditional farming methods, and produce exceptional tasting beef.
They have sold our home produced beef and pork online and to local customers for a number of years, and adore hearing the incredibly positive feedback about our meat. They have spent the early part of 2015 seeking out extraordinary farmers of poultry, pork, lamb and beef to complement our own range of produce, launching the new look Dunwood in October 2015 with the launch of the new website
We initially created a new logo and brand for Dunwood that would be more on trend with the current higher quality food industry, which then led to a unique and bespoke website design that enabled the client to showcase the products they were selling as well as provide efficient and easy e-commerce operations for the users who would use the website. The client was fortunate to have some good quality photography of their own business, also a good idea of the kind of information that they wanted to include into the website.
We designed and built a custom e-commerce solution that incorporated a content management tool so the client can self-manage the website, and this is now linking through to a social media campaign targeted at potential buyers all around the country.
