Winston Goes for a wander - Leek is an Amazing Place to Live

Winston Goes for a wander - Leek is an Amazing Place to Live

SO Marketing moved to Leek relatively recently and earlier this week the town was named one of the best places to live in the whole West Midlands in the Sunday Times’ annual list! In honour of this entry our apprentice decided to take the company dog Winston to see some of the landmarks that Leek offers.

The Town

The list referenced the Foxlowe Arts Centre as a landmark that is held in high regard by the community as well as our town’s Totally Locally Scheme. The article also drew attention to Leeks “enterprising collaborative spirit” which we have experienced first-hand with a lot of our local clients. Leek is also home to one of the rare golden letterboxes that are scattered around the country in honour of the gold medal Leeks very own Anna Watkins won at the London 2012 Olympics!Company dog Winston visiting Leeks golden letterbox

Our Clients

Since our move to Leek we have worked with a multitude of national clients but we always enjoy working with the local businesses in particular and have built firm relationships with many of our neighbours. Live Love Loaf were one of the very first businesses to approach us when our office relocated and is a place quite a few of our employees disappear to in their lunch hour! We also worked with local business Bottle Lab to help launch their online profile as well as Supersport who approached us shortly after our move to Leek requesting an e-commerce platform to allow them to begin trading online.Company dog Winston visiting the Leek Foxlowe Arts Centre

Our Experience

We have been a part of Leeks network of businesses for a relatively short time but quickly learnt that the towns businesses are built upon hard work and mutual prosperity. Our employees all love the town and what it has to offer and its certainly not hard to see how this little market town made a big splash on to the prestigious annual list!
